Independent and founder-led

An independent, vendor-neutral controls engineering firm serving Northern California — built on 15+ years hands-on in the demanding, process-heavy end of industry.

Strule Automation is founded and run by Jonathan Gilmour, a time-served electrician with over 15 years in the trade. He served his apprenticeship in Northern Ireland, worked as an electrical foreman, and has spent his career hands-on in demanding industrial environments — organics recycling, waste, quarrying and mining.

Understand the site, fix the real problem, and stand behind it.

In practice that means finding what is actually wrong, fixing it properly, and being there if it comes back. Independent and vendor-neutral, honest scope and pricing, and safety that is never traded for a deadline. Where physical line-voltage installation is needed, it’s handled by licensed partners — so you get end-to-end delivery without paying for a brand’s hardware agenda.

The firm takes its name from the River Strule, which runs through Omagh in County Tyrone.
